Possibly the darkest Batman movie yet. According to the diehard fanboys, everything seems to be on point with this one... there's even a viral marketing campaign (whysoserious.com). Top of my list for this summer... I can't wait!

TACO TUESDAY

Tuan resurrected Man Dinner tonight and invited us to join him at California Fish Grill. It was a last minute text blast but a good amount of us showed up. It was my first time eating at CFG and I was very impressed. The decor and atmosphere reminded me of Chipotle. When you think about it, there really isn't a place to get fast fish. I'm not talking about Filet-O-Fish Fridays here. Its definitely a nice change from your typical burger and fries. Check out their menu here. Sorry for the grainy pictures :P

The wheel works great (you can pick one up for $9.99). Only played for an hour or so... its like any other MK game just with new bells and whistles. Online is cool... played with 18 different people at once. Lots of new tracks to be unlocked. Definitely a Wii staple title along with Super Smash Brothers, Zelda, etc... the usual heavy hitters.

SUN DAY

Finally got myself up on my feet and out of my apt yesterday... while it was still light out! Incredible. Tish and I lunched at Fashion Island mall (really nice mall but a little too out of the way) and afterwards we headed out to the beach for some sand surf and sun (minus the surf).

Gotsta hit up the Apple Store... this one had the old store layout with the checkout counter in front. They even had displays for digital cameras and camcorders... old school yo! I don't understand why this one is so behind... you would expect Fashion Island to be up-to-date. Anyways, I don't know what it is with me... the Apple Store never gets old. I'm always down to check out "future purchases"... fanboy 4 life. Upon entering, I saw some dude waiting to buy TWO 30" ACDs... baaaaaaaaaaallin! I just want a 23" :(

Caught a bit of Bravo's new dance show, Step It Up & Dance, tonight (dance is HOT nowadays). One of the known figures in our dance community, Miguel Zarate (Hannah Montana Tour, Pussycat Dolls, Kaba Modern alumni), is a contestant on the show.

A couple of years back, I helped Miguel design a shirt for one of his projects... J'Adore Miguel. He can be seen wearing it in the premiere episode. Pretty cool! Thanks to Tuan Bui for pointing that out, haha.



Miguel has developed his own signature style of dance thats always been fun to watch. Not many people can say that.

Finally tried Pinkberry on Sunday.



The Verdict?



What I believed to be their shortcomings were actually their strengths.



Pinkberry vs. Yogurtland



1. Three flavors (PB) vs. Lots (YL)

Winner: PB - Creamier consistency beats any YL flavor anyday. YL seems too watery after awhile whereas PB holds it down until the last spoonful.



2. Worker created (PB) vs. Self-serve (YL)

Winner: PB - PB workers prepared the yogurt/toppings with care and presentation in mind. Self-serve aspect didn't really matter too much... who wants to wait in line in front of obnoxious high school (college even) clowns?! Serve me my yogurt!



3. Too much hype (PB) vs. Underdog loyalty (YL)

Winner: PB - Hype was justifiable... shit was on point!
