I was looking through some old HK pics and man do I miss that place. So much in fact that I am going to relive the moments from our 10 day excursion by posted images from each day, didn't see this one coming son!
Heres a small glimpse into the first night of our arrival. Some of these pics have been hidden in the archive and have never been seen, hence the dramatization of the blacks and whites hah.
NOOE is back into the swing of things and I'm officially coming out of blog hiatus with this post... FINALLY!
So as some of you might already know, we setup our pop-up shop every Sunday (except for 2nd Sundays of the month) on the corner of Melrose and Fairfax. Since we debuted a few months ago, we've seen our fair share of "characters"... the kind that only LA can offer.
With that said, here are some "characters" we ran into this past Sunday:
Flight of the Conchords stars (Image: HBO)
The wonderful Mia Michaels (So You Think You Can Dance) (Image: MiaMichaels.com)
Kimberly Stewart (daughter of Rod Stewart) (Image: Stuff Inc.)
Comedian J. Anthony Brown (Dr. Wade in Drumline)
Past sightings (off the top of my head...) - Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz - Ginger Spice - Amerie - John Salley (Best Damn Sports Show) - Kim Vo (Shear Genius)
Pretty cool... not to mention the rest of the friendly folk who walk the aisles every Sunday. Its nice to meet new people and hear what they're all about. Drop by when you can... if you're lucky you might see a celeb in their natural habitat.
Before I begin, don't forget to update yo'self and read the blog under this post to be in the know about what's new at NEVERODDOREVEN.
Okay on with the post..another Sunday has gone by and this passed one was definitely a sneak preview of fall breeze. The weather was soo much more bearable this Sunday, can't wait to start layering up.
Once again thanks to everyone that came by, we had a lot of unexpected visitors..read on and you'll see what I mean.
so considering we're dancers she is definitely an idol and someone we all look up too. I mean c'mon now she's a contemporary genius and if you haven't seen her work on "So You Think You Can Dance" then you are for sure living under a rock. it's called youtube people.
Thanks again to everyone who came by this past Sunday. I'll post the pictures up on another blog post because there's just too much news to talk about. NOOE has been very busy getting ready to launch our new online store so keep checking the blog for updates and news. If you haven't signed our mailing list at our pop-up store, we are also in the process of generating an online list so you can sign up through our website.
Thanks to the ever great PHANTOM for updating (finally =P) our website. We now have a flash slideshow with some of the millions of pictures we took from our last trip to Hong Kong. Get ready for Hong Kong and possibly Japan early 2009!!
Okay going back to the website, we had a photoshoot a little while ago with some of our mens pieces since none of them are really shown online. Along with some womens pieces that we received and have been doing really well for us. It's all under our new SELECTION section on our website. This section will constantly change with new mini-photoshoots of new arrivals until the online store launches. During the seasons when a bigger release of arrivals come in we will be updating our lookbook. Remember all of these pieces in our selection section is just a sneak preview of what's on our racks at the moment, so please come by The Melrose Trading Post every Sunday and hang out with NOOE.
This is a feature by New York Times photographer Bill Cunningham. He talks about capturing the shoe-a-holic women during fashion week and being at the right place and the right time when they give up the pain for beauty and resort to their most beloved flip flops.
Hello everyone, wow its been awhile since my last post haha. Its been a crazy few months to say the least! We've been keeping busy here at NOOE and have a lot in store coming sooner than you think! Some of the projects in the works is our online store!, new fall fashion shoots, and a new development we'd like to call Melrose Style Watch.
This is just a project we've created to capture the true essence of Melrose and the people who are apart of it. Something I've been wanting to do was document the different people, looks and lifestyles that come across our booth every Sunday. This past weekend was the first of a several part series and here are some of the cool people we met (besides NOOE of course!)
